These images were taken with my Nikon D810 and my Zeiss Planar T*
50mm f/1.4 lens.
This is the first warm, dry, mid-60's degree weekend since last October!
We're off to Yosemite next week so I don't know if we'll get any more
chances to take colorful weed pictures this year. Perhaps in two weeks
if it isn't raining.
These two images (above and below) looked pretty flat out of the
camera. The above image wasn't tweaked much in post. The one below
was adjusted quite a bit to add some punch. Let me know what you think.
I really don't like to be cranking up the color vibrance but I don't
want to be posting boring, bland images either.
I probably should have stuck a two stop graduated neutral density
filter on the camera. Bright sun at 90 degrees. But.... I just
got the Cokin polarizer and was trying it out for the first time.
Didn't want to over-complicate things by adding too much glass.
