Scoggins Valley Park, Washington County, just outside Forest Grove, Oregon.
A very frosty Henry Hagg Lake in late January. Nice 100 mile ride but VERY cold!
Had to break down and buy a pair of actual motorcycle gloves!!! Saw a herd of elk on
the side of the road but of course there was no way they were going to hang around
while I tried to get out my camera with my frozen fingers and all...

Perkins Institute for the Blind Workshop, South Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1912
My Grandfather was the caretaker here in the early 1900's. My Father grew up in the
Caretaker's home which is the smaller building to the right.

The buildings look brand new and judging from all the lumber in the background, this
picture may have been taken to commemorate the building opening. Note the American
flag with 48 stars which is how many there were when I was going to school.

Return to Wind Mountain, February 20, 2011
Not the greatest weather but with rain, snow and cold in the forecast for
the next week or more, you need to make the best of whatever dry days come along.

A snow covered Dog Mountain as seen from Wind Mountain summit.

Mid-February, 2011
Can you believe that Julie left me just to go to El Paso where it's warm and sunny?
More pictures here

This is what she left behind.... February 24, 2011
It's unusual to get snow here this late in the season.

March 6, 2011. Along the Two Chiefs Trail

The Dilligafs always seem to have some lame excuse for not being able to go riding.
This time it's because a couple of twigs fell on their driveway....

For surviving our Rock of Ages hike, Julie earned her
Patti Dilligaf "Wouldn't Complain Even If Her Hair Was On Fire" merit badge...

An old church in Manning, Oregon, right along the Banks Vernonia Trail.

boob shot

The things I get away with :)
She must have been deaf to not hear the shutter go off....
