The road to Windy Ridge typically doesn't open until late June or early July.
Call first, obviously.
It was a hot day (90's) in the city but a mostly very pleasant and comfortable ride
for the Windy Ridge opener. The road opened a few days ago but we were busy touring
the Northern Cascades.
Very few people out here. Some people took Monday off to extend their holiday weekend
but the traffic was a lot lighter than it typically is on a dry Summer weekend.
Below is a picture of the obligatory stop at the McClellan viewpoint.
Mount Adams
There were a lot of colorful weeds out here.
Spirit Lake. Harry Truman and his cabin are down there somewhere.
The Plains of Abraham. I've hiked that entire area along the Loowit Trail.

Mount Rainier. Four mountain views in one location!
